ANDRE GYNOUS
The femme fatale · Born of the harbour
The femme fatale · Born of the harbour
Andre was born in Kilharbour, which may explain why so little about her surprises the locals — and why so little about the locals surprises her.
Strong-willed, self-assured and fiercely private, she has never felt obliged to explain herself to anyone. Rumours about her past, her identity and the person she might once have been circulate from pub tables to back rooms, but Andre has a simple rule: curiosity is not a licence to pry.
She is a familiar face at The Jolly Roger, though she tends to favour the company of bikers, gamblers and people who know how to keep a secret. Sometimes she dresses to turn heads; sometimes she ties her hair back, pulls on a bandana and lets strangers make their own assumptions.
Andre rarely refuses a proposition without hearing it out first. Business, pleasure or something less easily defined — everything depends on the terms.
In a town where almost everyone has something to hide, Andre’s greatest advantage may be that she owes nobody an explanation.
