KILHARBOUR
— EL MUELLE
The harbour never asks where you came from.
El Muelle is the working heart of Kilharbour.
It is where cargo arrives, vehicles come and go, and strangers are rarely questioned too closely.
During the day, it can look almost ordinary.
Workers move between warehouses. Trucks wait for deliveries. Boats come alongside the docks.
But when the sun goes down, El Muelle becomes something different.
The harbour lights reflect on the water.
The streets become quieter.
And the people who operate after dark become more visible.
Some are here for business.
Some are here because they have nowhere else to go.
Others are here because Kilharbour offers something that respectable towns do not:
an opportunity to disappear.
The harbour has always been a place of arrivals and departures.
Nobody knows exactly how many people came to Kilharbour intending to stay.
Nobody knows how many came here intending never to be found again.
